If you’re on the hunt for an affordable robot vacuum, you might find yourself in a dilemma between the Eufy 11s vs the 15c, two of the most budget-friendly options from EUFY. If I had to make a choice, I would lean towards the 15c.

The Eufy 15c is a better choice than the Eufy 11s as it offers the convenience of the app and voice control, making it easier to operate and schedule cleaning sessions. Apart from that, it maintains the same compact design and impressive cleaning performance as the 11s. For those who appreciate the flexibility of controlling their robot vacuum with their smartphone or through voice commands, the 15c presents a more user-friendly option.

The Eufy 11s is also a solid choice in the budget-friendly robot vacuum category. If you’re looking for a vacuum with efficient cleaning performance, a slim design, and a reliable 3-stage filtration system without the need for an app or voice control, the 11s is a dependable and cost-effective option.

Eufy 11s vs 15c: Differences

This was a fairly even match between Eufy 11s and 15c, with a final score of 1-0 favoring the Eufy 11s and 3 ties. Both of these robots offer excellent value for budget-friendly options. The Eufy 15c edges ahead by providing the added convenience of the app and voice control.

Cleaning Performance

The Winner: Tie

Suction Power

The suction strength for both the 11s and 15c hovers at around 1300 Pa when cranked up to high power. That number may catch your eye and make you think, “Wow, that’s pretty good!” But hold on, there’s more to the cleaning game than just suction power. Real-world performance depends on a bunch of other stuff, like how the air flows, how well it seals, the design of the brushes, and more. So, it’s not all about that suction number.

Cleaning Performance

Hard Floor

In my test on hard floors, both the Eufy 11s and 15c did an impressive job picking up all sorts of debris. They handled them all pretty well, from tiny grains like sand to larger bits like rice and Cheerios. The side brush did a bit of a dance, scattering some debris at first, but with their repeated passes and strong suction, they managed to clean up most of it effectively.

However, their performance dropped a notch when it came to extra-large debris. These bigger items tended to get pushed around by the vacuum or even stuck underneath it. It’s not that they lacked the suction power to handle such debris; it’s more likely because these vacuums have a lower ground clearance.

Carpet

When it comes to their performance on carpets, I still exposed them to the same types of debris as in the hard floor test. The outcome? Well, they still managed to pick up all types of debris quite effectively. At least, to the unaided eye, my carpet looked clean, with no visible debris left behind.

However, I should note that this impressive cleaning performance is primarily on low- to medium-pile carpets. They struggle when faced with thick or high-pile carpets and rugs.

I also tested their deep cleaning abilities on carpets. To put it simply, they didn’t perform too well. When dealing with tiny debris like sand and flour, they only managed to pick up about 15% of it. If I let them do extra cleaning on other days of the week, they are more likely to clean up all that dirt. After all, if you need a robot vacuum for deep-cleaning carpets, you’re better off considering an upright vacuum or one of Dyson’s stick vacuums.

Hair Pick-up

In my human hair pickup test with the 11s and 15c, they actually nabbed all the hair, which was pretty cool. But most of that hair didn’t end up in their dustbins. Nope, more than 90% of it gets tangled around their side brushes and brush rolls. That meant I had to roll up my sleeves and manually detangle the mess. Unlike some Roomba vacuums I’ve tried, this task was a bit trickier with the Eufy models because they sport a bristle brush roll.

In the pet hair pickup test, these robot vacuums really stepped up their game. They managed to scoop up and stash away all those shorter pet hairs neatly in their dustbins. Only a few rogue hairs still stick around on the brush roll. Overall, it was a pretty awesome performance.

Design & Usability

Dimensions, Weight & Shape

Dimensions (D x H)12.8 x 2.85 inches12.8 x 2.85 inches
Weight 5.73 lbs5.73 lbs

I noticed that Eufy has a common design going on with their budget-friendly vacuum model. Even at a glance, I couldn’t tell them apart. Eufy 11s and 15c are no exception. They have identical dimensions, weight, and shape.

Eufy’s robot vacuums, including the Eufy 11s and 15c, are all about the slim and sleek design. They’re able to effortlessly slide under low-profile furniture. No more heavy lifting of couches when it’s cleaning time—these bots got it covered!

Their lightweight design is also definitely a plus. Whenever I need extra help with cleaning specific areas, I can easily transport these bots to the rescue without breaking a sweat.

While their round design is fantastic for maneuvering in tight spaces and under furniture, they might not get every last bit of debris in the corners. So, be prepared for a bit of manual cleanup in those hard-to-reach spots. In this case, you might want to consider a D-shaped robot vacuum like the Roomba s9+ for more thorough corner coverage.

Battery Life

Eufy claims that the Eufy 11s and 15c offer a battery life of up to 100 minutes. However, in my experience, they rarely reach that maximum runtime. It’s possible that this estimate is based on using them in low-power mode under ideal conditions where minimal suction power is required due to the cleanliness of the floor. When you switch to BoostIQ mode or Max power mode, you can expect a significant reduction in battery life, typically around 40-50 minutes.

Both the Eufy 11s and 15c come with an “Auto charge feature” that activates when they detect a low battery. They autonomously navigate back to their charging stations and commence recharging. They usually take about 5 hours to fully charge.

However, I’ve found this feature to be less useful because these vacuums can’t resume cleaning from where they left off. So, unless your home is relatively small, they might not complete the entire cleaning job in a single charge. When they’re fully charged again, you can instruct them to continue cleaning, but unfortunately, they don’t remember the areas they’ve already cleaned. They tend to wander aimlessly, which can be time-consuming.

Navigation

The Eufy 11s and 15c use a simple navigation system where they move randomly around the room, changing direction when they run into obstacles. I found this navigation method is not as efficient as the ones cleaned in parallel rows, like the Roomba i3+, for example.

For robot vacuums using random navigation like the Eufy 11s and 15c, it’s a good idea to tidy up your floor before letting them run. This way, they won’t be bouncing around like pinballs and can clean more efficiently without missing spots.

Control

The Winner: Eufy 15c

The Eufy RoboVac 11S and 15c’s user interface is really simple. There’s only one button to operate the machine, which serves as the power on and off button. Additionally, on the Eufy 15c, you’ll find a Wi-Fi icon with an indicator light located just above the power button.

Of course, there’s more to these vacuums than just a button. The Eufy 11s and 15c come with a remote control that offers various cleaning modes and features.

Even better, the Eufy 15c is voice-enabled and has a mobile app, which adds an extra layer of convenience. It offers a range of features through its app. You can start and pause cleaning jobs, choose cleaning modes and suction levels, set up cleaning schedules for 7 days a week, send the vacuum to its charging dock, and even locate your robot.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Winner: Tie

Dustbin

Both the Eufy 11s and the Eufy 15c come with a 0.6-liter dustbin, which is quite generous considering their compact size. I make sure to empty it after each cleaning cycle to prevent any clogs in the robot.

But I’ve noticed a quirky little quirk—the dustbin lid. It’s got something like a spring-loaded surprise element. More than a few times, I’ve unintentionally created my own tiny dust whirlwind on my way to the trash can.

Filtrаtiоn System

I really appreciate the filtration setup in both the Eufy 11s and 15c. They’ve got a thorough 3-stage filtration system, including a prefilter, a foam filter, and a high-performance filter. This multi-layered approach is fantastic because it means there’s no chance for dust to sneak out of the dustbin and into the air. It’s a big plus for homes with asthma sufferers or kids running around.

You are worried about maintaining this system that will be very complicated? Actually, I found it pretty simple. Even though there are three filters, it’s not a hassle. The prefilter acts like a gatekeeper, keeping dirt, hair, and crumbs from gunking up the filter deeper inside, so you won’t have to painstakingly clean every groove of the high-performance filter. And the prefilter? It’s a breeze to clean, thanks to its flat design.
